Run4Hope is a community run built to break the silence around men's mental health — one stride, one route, one open conversation at a time.

Too many men walk through life with a smile on their face, hiding the pain they carry inside. Behind that smile, many are battling depression, anxiety, and struggles they never speak about — not even to those closest to them.
Far too often, these battles are fought in silence. Every year, more than half a million men lose their lives to suicide. Each number is not just a statistic — it's a grandfather grieving his grandson, parents mourning their son, siblings missing their brother, wives without their husbands, children growing up without their dad, and friends left behind.
This is not talked about enough.
That is why we are running. This race is about raising awareness, breaking the silence, and showing that men's mental health matters. It's about honouring those who lost their fight, and standing beside those still struggling.
If you know someone who is hurting, run for them — and afterwards, remind them: "You are loved. You matter to me." If you don't know anyone personally, run anyway. Every step you take can represent 100 men whose stories deserve to be heard.
Most men never say the words out loud. This run exists to make that conversation easier to start — for the person hurting, and for the people around them.
Every step taken can represent a life — a name, a story, a person who deserved more time. We run so they're not reduced to a number.
For everyone still in the fight: you don't have to know someone personally to run for them. Showing up is how we tell each other no one runs alone.
Our plan is for entry fees and donations to go toward men's mental health support and suicide prevention initiatives (see About Your Donations). Details below.
Run4Hope is launching as a single event first — but the plan is to make it possible to run for this cause from anywhere in the world, on your own time, connected to the apps you already train with.
This page — sharing why Run4Hope exists and the details of the first community run.
Run from anywhere in the world. Connect Strava or Garmin, log your distance, and watch it add to one shared global total — a collective 8,000km run for hope.
Earn run credits for every kilometre logged. Hit enough credits and we'll send you a Run4Hope shirt — wear it, start a conversation.
The community comes together off-screen: a signed-up run.
